Music Mondays – An Enchanted Birthday

This birthday has been a special one, capped off by an evening of music from South Pacific performed by our Victoria Symphony  and Pacific Opera. Here’s one of the best songs from that show, the classic  Some Enchanted Evening.

  1. Wow. What enchanting icing on your birthday, Chia! Thanks so much for sharing and taking me back in an instant to part of the soundtrack of my childhood. I heard “South Pacific” and watched the film so many times that I memorized most of the lyrics, many of which came back to me just now, along with wistful tears. “Some Enchanted Evening” was one of my parents’ favorites. So happy for you that you have been enjoying a well-deserved, beautiful birthday. Xo

    • Thanks so much, Chloe. I’d seen the movie a long time ago but it was just a vague memory. Will be re-watching with my daughter soon. Quite a daring treatise on racism for its time. The songs are definitely entertaining and lovely.
