Water, Water Everywhere

Water—it rains down on the earth, seeking every nook and crevice, cleansing and bringing forth life.

Water—it surrounds these hard lands we live on with vast oceans of sustenance for our souls.

Water—it separates our world into islands of diversity, while providing passage to wonderment and discovery.

Water—it brims within us, bursting forth through effort and emotion, to be borne away by cycling winds.

These two monotypes were created for a show entitled Water. They represent the flowing, circling life force that water gives our world. The second one ‘flows’ from the ghost imagery of the first, which also contains ghost imagery of a previous print.

They are offered this week at $150 each, unframed, or together for $250.

What are your thoughts on water?

  1. Very nice – love the theme of Water too. I wrote a piece about the rain once. I don’t think there is enough space here to write my thoughts about water..hehe. Water is life…one could spend the rest of their life writing about water. I like what you had to say about it; and, your prints are beautiful! 🙂

  2. Gorgeous post–poetic thoughts, prints full of movement and color, ghost imagery trailing vaporous memories. Water! As a mermaid :), I have a deep affinity–sustaining, cleansing, moving, soothing, transforming and transformative, luscious, sparkling…..xo

    • Thank you, Sirena, for your wonderful comments and observations! Love the parkling quality of water in light very much too! I must say I too love the layered depth that the ghost imagery brings to the pieces, made it hard to not keep going with it. 🙂

  3. Beautifully captured! Water has always beckoned me with its mystical promise of infinite possibility, endless freedom, and adventure…
